Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to reveal the reflections of the political campaigns of Americanization in the 2014 Presidential Elections campaign. Thanks to the modernization process, some changes have been occurred upon political campaigns and such changes are classified as "Americanization" and described with five different components, namely "personalization of politics", "weakening of the correlation between the political parties and citizens", "politic scientification", "emerging of autonomous media structures" and "transforming citizens into mere spectator" by researchers and experts. This study comprises of three main sections. Firstly, the general structure, components and development of political campaigns will be evaluated. In the second section, the political campaigns and methods, which were emerged with the effect of modernization process, and which are named as "Americanization" by most researchers, are investigated by showing some related examples. In third section, it comprises of political campaigns of the nominees participated in 2014 Presidential Election and an evaluation of such campaigns within the axis of "Americanization of Political Campaigns".
