Flaws occuring in the process of nut manufacturing using cold forming method and identification of optimum production parameters, eleminating defects in nuts

Fasteners sector is one of the most important suppliers of automotive, white goods, machinery industry. It is important to produce nuts produced with cold forming method used in automotive, white goods and machinery industry in determined criteria and quality. Errors in nuts produced by cold forming method can cause loss of life and property of the end user. In this study, the cracks in the nuts produced by the cold forging method were investigated and the reasons of these errors were investigated. In the researches, it was found that the cracks in the nuts produced by the cold forging method caused cracks in the surface due to the particle growth. In this study, optimum production parameters were determined to produce nuts produced by cold forging method.
