Hadith sciences taught in Şırnak madrasahs

It is seen that the madrasahs, which have a deep-rooted tradition in Islamic civilization, gained a regular and systematic structure after this period when they were based on the Seljuk vizier Nizamülmülk. These institutions, where education and training were given at the highest level in the Ottoman Period, were closed after the proclamation of the Republic on the grounds that they could not meet the needs of the age. After the madrasahs were closed, they continued their educational activities in the East-Southeast Regions unofficially. Madrasahs in the Şırnak Region are an important example of this situation. Şırnak madrasahs are still active today as an institution that has had a significant impact on the religious education, moral life, literature, cultural elements and social structure of the people of the region, and has made significant contributions to the preservation/development of the scientific heritage. The subject of our study is the examination of hadith sciences taught in Şırnak madrasahs. In addition, an evaluation will be made of the extent to which the teachers in these educational institutions give place to hadith and hadith sciences and some of the thoughts and practices of the teachers in these madrasahs on hadith sciences. We tried to visit all the madrasas that actively teach in Şırnak province in order to determine hadith sciences, to gather information about hadith teaching methods and to examine the hadith books taught in Şırnak madrasahs. During this time, we had the opportunity to meet with thirty madrasah teachers and students, and we tried to obtain information about the functioning and functions of these madrasas, the hadith sciences taught in these madrasas, and the teaching and learning methods of hadith. Our work consists of two parts. In the first part, information will be given about the historical course of the madrasahs, the history of the madrasahs in Şırnak, the madrasas that actively teach in the provincial borders and the general structure of these madrasas. In the second part, the hadith sciences taught in Şırnak madrasahs, the importance of hadith education and the hadith books taught in the madrasah will be introduced.
