Abstract (EN)

Organized crime groups can be defined as establishment who have a certain kind of hierarchy and commits indefinite number of crimes. Organized crime groups are not a type of establishment emerged recently, they acted as bandit, gang etc. in the early periods of history. Inrecently, with in the increase in technological developments and communication opportunities, criminal organisations have developed their activities and tools and have established a criminal network not only national but also international. Such activities of criminal organisations threat public order and peace, and couse anxiety and fear in public. Thesea ctivities are stated as crime in Article 220 of Turkish Penal Code. In this article, there are penalties for establisher, manager and members of the criminal organisations, contributer not member and propagandists. In this thesis study, we carry out a deep analysis into structure of organized crime groups, legislations in other countries and legislations of Turkey.
