Abstract (EN)

Until now, analitical, experimental and numerical methods such as finite element method are widely used for prediction of longitudinal elasticity modulus of discontinuous fiber-reinforced compozit materials in the literature. In this work, a quatratic boundary element formulation is presented to predict of longitudinal elasticity modulus ofaligned discontinuous fiber-reinforced compozits. The present boundary element formulation is applied to the aligned discontinuous fiber-reinforced boron/epoxy compozit. Results are compaired with analytical, experimental and finite element solutions. It is shown that the present formulation can be effectively used for prediction of longitudinal elasticity modulus of aligned discontinuous-fiber reinforced compozit materials.
