Investigation of risks in milk processing (Milk factory example)

As occupational health and safety is a factor that affects human life directly, its' importance is increasing both in our country and worldwide. The prevalence of dairy products, especially one of the sub-branches of the food sector, shows how important this sector is. The aim of this study is to determine the risks, dangers that may be encountered in the production of dairy products, to determine the measures that may be taken against them and to guide other stakeholders in the sector. A total of 236 employees work in the company. In the study, the working environment of the workplace and workers were monitored and a risk assessment was made by using the 5x5 L Type Risk Assessment Decision Matrix method. In line with the results obtained, the deficiencies in the enterprise were determined and the necessary solutions were presented. In the study, it was seen that the production sector of milk products contained more risk and danger than expected.
