Abstract (EN)

Individuals with hearing loss think that their hearing will improve from the first moment they use hearing aids and they can communicate easily when they enter different environments. In fact, many studies show us that the ears are a gateway to the brain. In the time it takes to use a hearing aid, the brain gets used to the absence of those sounds, and when the hearing aid is used, the brain reconfigures itself to adapt to all sounds. Individuals with hearing loss may be involved in their social life, phone calls or music / television etc. They state that hearing aids are insufficient while listening. One of the biggest difficulties for individuals with hearing loss is that they have difficulty understanding speech due to the interference of the audio signal from the telephone handset during a telephone conversation. Hearing aid brands have developed different technologies over time to meet all these difficulties. Today, Bluetooth technology is actively used. The aim of this study is to investigate the benefits provided to the user in understanding words by testing the direct connection feature in noisy and noiseless environments in unilateral or bilateral hearing aid users.
