Syrian journalists in Turkey an exploratory research onchallenges and realities

In this research, the reality of Syrian journalists in Turkey and the challenges they face has been studied, in order to reach a clear understanding of all aspects related to and affecting the conditions in which they live and work. As an example of immigrant or refugee journalists, their circumstances provide a model that helps in understanding what it might be like for immigrant or refugee journalists in general. Because they are refugees in origin, they, like other refugees, face great challenges, in addition to challenges related to the nature of their journalistic profession and their specialization in covering the thorny Syrian issue. This research has adopted the exploratory survey method, because knowledge of the subject does not allow for a descriptive analytical study. Therefore, a descriptive analysis of the general situation of Syrian journalists residing in Turkey was conducted, and an exploratory field research methodology was adopted by conducting a survey using a questionnaire form designed to answer the questions raised in the study. In the end, the data was categorized and analyzed to reach the results and discussed, in addition to the conclusions. The research claims to have achieved its goal by being able to answer the main question about what it means to be a Syrian journalist in Turkey. This is in light of the sub-questions that he set to cover all the social, security, legal, economic and professional aspects under which Syrian journalists live and work in Turkey.
