Abstract (EN)

In this study, Tahir Alangu's compilation fairy tale book "Billur Köşk Tales" was investigated in the context of the basic principles of children's literature. A total of fourteen fairy tales in the book named "Billur Köşk Tales" were analyzed by using the document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research types. The tales in the book have been examined under the subheadings of their form and content features. Under the title of shape features in fairy tales, dimensions, type of paper, cover and binding, page layout, letters, spelling and punctuation marks and picture features are studied. Under the title of content features, in the terms of the subject, theme, characters, language and expression, message, environment and educational principles are discussed in fairy tales. In the light of the results gained from the examination, it has been seen that Tahir Alangu's fairy tale book named "Billur Köşk Tales" is appropriate for child readers with the messages it gives and the themes it handles. It is not true to say this conformity for all fairy tales in the book. It has been detected that in some of the fairy tales in the book, unsuitable subjects for children are constructed, there are objectionable messages in terms of educational principles, the images drawn include elements that arouse feelings of violence and fear in children, and unsuitable words for children's level are used.
