An examination of obsession levels for individuals in general anxiety, self perception, psychological resilience alteration with their education level, gender and have / not have any siblings

A descriptive screening examination undertaken the look of obsession levels to general anxiety, self-esteem and psychological resilience in changes of gender, educational levels and had/ not had any siblings. The participants consisted of a total of 420 adults whose picked randomly. This is one examination of descriptive relation style was used. A total of 420 adults of İstanbul participated who picked randomly. The analyse data collected via four scales entitled "Maudsley Obsessive Compulsive Inventory" invented by Hodgson and companions. (1979), "Trait Anxiety Inventory" invented by Spielberger and companions (1972), "Social Comparison Scale" invented by Gilbert and companions (1993) and "Short Resilience Scale" invented by Smith and companions (2010). SPSS 15.00 program used to analyze. Pearson Correlation Analyse, Regression Analyse, Independent Samples T - Test, ANOVA Analyse performed to analyze the data. The results shows significant effects in obsession levels, general anxiety, self-esteem and psychological resilience of participants. The strong effect was found in obsession levels -general anxiety and psychological resilience. A significantly negative effect seen on participants obsession levels and self-esteems. Results from this study revealed that, participants obsession levels did not vary according to genders and had/ not had any siblings. Finally, obsession levels of participants did vary one of the education level. Participants who only had high school education was more obsessive than other educational leveled participants.
