The effect of vocational guidance lesons in guiding to vocational and technical education

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of Vocational Guidance Lessons in guiding to vocational and technical education in accordance with the opinions of the students grade 9. Thus, it has been tried to determine the effects of the lesson guiding to vocational and technical education.The study group of the research consists of 9th grade students attending to the secondary school in Gebze in Kocaeli province in 2006-2007 academic year. The theoretical sources and the data taken by empirical research have been analyzed in detail. Throughout the study, survey methods were used. Datas were collected by using questionnaire. Frequency, percentile, t-test and one-way variance of analysis were used to analyze the data. Cross categorization between the independent variable such as the gender ,the kind of school, the kind of teacher etc. and the dependent variable is established and the hypothesis are realized.According to the research, in terms of the effectiveness of vocational guidance lessons in guiding to vocational and technical education and student concerns on lesson there have been significant differences between gender, schools and teachers.Key Words: Vocational Guidance Lessons, Vocational Guidance, Guidance
