Archaeology of Tavşanlı and terracotta artifacts dating to the Bronze Age found in the Tavşanlı Municipal Museum

The District of Tavşanlı, located in Kütahya province, was home to many mounds, tumuli and ancient settlements. The aim of this thesis was to introduce the archaeological sites of the Tavşanlı environment and a group of pottery recovered from Tavşanlı was discussed. With this study, the archaeological settlements located within the border of Tavşanlı district were examined, photographed and their coordinates were taken on site by visiting the surface finds with a single thesis. A total of 62 archaeological settlements, many of which were identified for the first time within the scope of this study, were examined. In addition to this work, 22 terracotta artifacts belonging to the Early Bronze Age and Middle Bronze Age are included in the dissertation in the Tavşanlı Municipal Museum. In Addition, Assoc. Some of the works included in the inventory list of the Tavşanlı Municipal Museum are not specified as periods, and the works were compared with the works found in nearby centers and the terracotta works studied were evaluated in a chronological order (Early Bronze Age I-II-III – Middle Bronze Age). Among the Terracotta artifacts evaluated are: bowls, plates, beak-mouth jugs, decapitated beak-mouth jugs, alfalfa-mouth jugs, round-mouth jugs, tankards, pottery, cup, lid and depas samples.
