The impact on the agricultural sector agricultural credit cooperatives of Tekirdağ

Farmers, who all are small business enterprises, are getting into more difficult to survive in an extremely competitive environment. A significant number of people in all countries including the developed ones, are employed in agriculture. Hence, the majority of the national income is gained by agricultural sector. A considerable part of people lives in villages where agricultural activities are carried out, in the other words in rural neighbourhoods. Significant Economic and social problems cannot be avoided in case farmers become giant enterprises. I think Tekirdağ city which is one of the good cities in this issue, would be a good case to investigate the influence of cooperatives in agriculture. In the 1st chapter, I investigated Tekirdağ city in terms of industry, agriculture, Tourism and Transportation. In the 2nd chapter, I investigated cooperatives' historical development in Turkey and world perspective along with cooperatives activities in Tekirdağ and shared my recommendations in the results chapter.
