The socio-economic structure of the Uşak and Çanakkale in the light of estates and comparative study of socio-economic mobility (1246-1286/1830-1870)

In the research on the Ottoman period, we realize that local and foreign researchers major in the field of Ottoman history, military and political activities. In addition, despite of increasing the number of the research of socio-economic history of the Ottoman Empire recently has not been reached the desired level. Whereas, the history of socio-economy of the Ottoman Empire has a great importance on the socio-ekomonik. That is way the history of socio-economy of Otoman Empire is requested to be searched.Estate records of şer'iyye registries which are thought as the first source in the Socio-economic study and are the first that come to mind in the Ottoman archival sources were examined. Since Estate records in the şeriyye registries which has great important information related to the period of they belong were examined between the 1830-1870 years, significant information is tried to be reached about the cities of Uşak and Çanakkale. During the study, estates in the archival sources have been just used.Based on estates before these two cities of the Anatolian, firstly the social, cultural and economic aspects of the city of Usak were examined, then the social, cultural and economic aspects of the city of Çanakkale were examined. In addition, ?Family? in this study that has great importance in the base of the structure of socio-economic has been evaluated form different aspects. Finally, comparing two cities; similarities and differences between two cities have been expressed and thus implications about the socio-economic structure of the two cities have been tried to be emphasized. During this study, differences of sex, religious and ethnic have been considered. Another function of our study is that there are recently estate records belonging to two cities, placing in different regions and what we have in conclusion.Key word: Uşak, Çanakkale, şer?iye registiries, estate records
