Abstract (EN)

Eximbank organizations around the world are established by governments to increase country export figures and thus ensure economic prosperity. These organizations facilitate exports by providing financial and non-financial support to exporting companies in the country. The activities carried out by Türk Eximbank to support exports between 2013 and 2022 were compared with the commercial loan interest rates published by the Central Bank using quantitative research methods. The data was taken from the CBRT, TURKSTAT and Turk Eximbank websites. Analysis methods such as descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, Individual Samples and To do Yamamoto test were applied. According to the analysis results, no technically significant relationship was found between commercial loan interest rates, export volume and Eximbank Support amounts. The data used was analysed in USD as the currency unit. Changes in the exchange rate constantly change the value of the USD currency. Therefore, although the analysis results in no relationship, it would be wrong to definitively conclude that there is or is not a relationship. It is stated in the literature that commercial loan interest rates determine the competitiveness and foreign trade volume of companies by affecting the cost and profitability of foreign trade. In addition, it can be stated that the effect of Eximbank supports on foreign trade volume varies from country to country and depends on other factors.
