Relavance and accounting of barter in trade transanctions:A study on Turkish trade transactions with Russia and Turkic republics.

Barter is used on important transactions among enterprises or countries to exchange economic values as monetary constraint are too costly. Barter is a useful instrument to be applied international and national trade transactions in order to activate the idle capacity, decrease the stocks and to increase sales especially during the economic recessions. This study aims to examine barter system and accountancy of barter which eliminate the need of cash, interest costs of credits and funding problems of enterprises and states. In addition of these advantages barter also accelerates trade potential between states. Barter as a type of trade which goods or services are exchanged for other goods and services has many arguments to raise interstate trade potential. The thesis recommends that regional cooperation between Turkey, Russia and Turkic states would be increased in case of application of barter to the trade relations of these states.
