Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted as a quasi-experimental, prospective, clinical study in order to determine the effects of exercise training module on the level of knowledge, diabetes management, and exercise on the basis of individual's existing infrastructure in web-based prepared diabetes. The study was carried out between November 2018 and December 2018 in the pediatric endocrinology and metabolic diseases outpatient clinic of Duzce University Research and Practice Hospital. The study population consisted of 65 patients who accepted to study in the 10 to 18 age group. The study group received a web-based exercise training for five week. Tests and forms were used to identify the individuals with diabetes, to evaluate the effectiveness of the website, to evaluate the internet usage characteristics, to determine the knowledge levels before and after the training and to make decisions about exercise. The metabolic data of the study group, which was followed by the diabetic nurse and their physicians, were collected from the patient records by the researcher. Of the 49 people who responded to the question of what you decide to do after training, only 2% (1 person) decided that you would not exercise, the others made positive conversions, and 57.1% (= 28/49) wanted to exercise stably. When the information test results were evaluated, it was determined that there was a significant decrease in the number of false training before the training (P = 0.038). It was seen that the number of wrong questions decreased significantly after training (P = 0.013, P = 0.032). Visual competence assessment average score of 3.96 ± 0.54 (2.67-5.00), Technical Competence assessment average score 3.85 ± 0.56 (2.63-5.00), Content rating average 4.04 ± 0.59 (2.46-5.00) The overall average score for the site evaluation is 3.96 ± 0.51 (2.96-5.00). According to the results of the study, web-based education sites can be used as a complementary tool in the education and follow-up of individuals with type 1 diabetes. It is recommended to plan web-based exercise training programs in order to encourage children and adolescents with diabetes to engage in sports and gain diabetes management skills in exercise.
