Abstract (EN)

The aims of the present study are to detect the relationship between diabetic Mellitus and Free Fatty acid (FFA). Diabetic Mellitus leads to other complications (cardiac disease and renal failure) by measuring the renal function parameters (urea and creatinine ) and lipid profile (cholesterol, TG, HDL, LDL, VLDL) parameters. FFA parameter showed little sensitivity in screening patients with diabetes and there are significant differences, except for some parameters of FFA and age groups, FFA and BMI, creatinine and age groups and BMI, HDL and age groups, None of them is statistically significant. Concerning gender, our results revealed there is no significant difference between gender (males and females) with study groups, between healthy gender, and between patients gender. The body mass index levels showed non-significant differences among BMI levels in patients and healthy groups. The study concluded that there is a need to conduct a periodic examination of fats for their direct impact on diseases heart and arteries.
