Transformation of the subject in the light of social development theory: Representation of the subject in 1899 Aşk-i Memnu novel and Aşk-i Memnu tv series which aired in 2008

The change has seen in the whole society since antique ages has accelerated and with effect of globalization have increased mobility and cultural integrations the in the last century. In this master thesis, the changes in the social field during the period from Tan-zimat to 2010 will be scrutinized and is tried to explain how the subject, the most im-portant participant of the society, is affected by the changes within the process. In this master's thesis, the changes in the social field from Tanzimat Reform era to 2010s will be examined, and the subject and which is the most important partici-pant of the society will be explained how the changes are affected during the process. By using descriptive content analysis method, narrative structure, time-space relationship, character images, discourse and stage analyzes of the Aşk-ı Memnu novel and series of the same name adapted for television in 2008 will be examined and give new meaning to cultural changes. In the first part of the thesis, modern and postmodern paradigms emerged after the Enlightenment which is one of the reasons of social change. In the second section will focus on the exchange starting from medieval social spent in the process of the sub-ject, in the third section are referred social change models and discussed social change in Turkey. In the fourth and last chapter, the character, time-space and staging techniques in Aşk-ı Memnu novel and adaptation Aşk-ı Memnu series are examined through desc-riptive content analysis.
