Abstract (EN)
'Transmedia Storytelling', a term introduced to the literature by Henry Jenkins in 2003, has started to be used very frequently today in parallel with the development and change of information technologies and marketing strategies. Transmedia storytelling aims to market tangible and intangible cultural elements, consumer goods and services to the target audience at the point of presentation of multiple media platforms and stimuli to attract the attention of the consumer and to establish a bond between the consumer and the product in question. In this way, by creating perceptual selectivity and creating a positive perception about the product in the subconscious of the consumer, the product can be marketed to large masses more easily. The use of trans media storytelling as a marketing strategy is also seen in the field of tourism, which is a part of the service sector. The aim of this study is to show how trans media storytelling marketing strategy is used in the promotion of Göbeklitepe, which is accepted as one of the important tourism destinations of our country and the world and is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list, and what the results of this strategy are in the light of scientific data. The studies carried out by the Presidency, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and scientific studies on the subject at national and international level were examined, interviews were held with local administrators in Şanlıurfa and representatives of other institutions and organisations that are stakeholders in the field of tourism, and as a result of the study, it was determined that trans media storytelling was used intensively on a national and international basis for the promotion of Göbeklitepe.
