Abstract (EN)

An election is a vital concept for a nation that determines the fate of a nation and by whom it will be governed and represented. The conditions of designation for election constitute is the essence of this theme. The purpose of this study is to examine the acquisition and loss of the title of parliamentarian in the Turkish constitutions of the past. In this context, the 1876 Constitution, the Constitution of 1924, the Constitution of 1961 and the Constitution of 1982 were analyzed in terms of the conditions for the qualification of parliamentarian and the loss of the title of parliamentarian. Since there were no regulations regarding the conditions for electing parliamentarian in the 1921 constitution (Teşkilat-ı Esasiye Kanunu), there was no possibility to compare it with other constitutional documents. This study was completed in two parts in the light of resources obtained as a result of a comprehensive literature search. In the first chapter, the constitutional texts except the 1982 Constitution were handled and the second chapter was comprehensively preserved the 1982 Constitution. As a result of the study, it is seen that constitution of 1982, which is in force, has many regulations that are incompatible with universal selection eligibility conditions and is suitable to be arranged in international documents.
