Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, experimental poems written in Turkish literature after the year 2000 are examined. The entry of Turkish poetry into a new period with modernization has led to the abandonment of the old concepts in poetry and a new understanding of poetry has emerged. After modernization, with the loss of importance of the traditional understanding of poetry, a free understanding of poetry has emerged. Instead of following a certain rule as in previous periods, poets have turned to new experiments in poetry with the methods they have determined by themselves. It is seen that today's poets give importance to form rather than meaning in poetry. When the experimental poems written in the past and the experimental poems written today are compared, it is seen that there have been great changes in poetry with the 2000s, especially with the effect of the conditions of the period. Creating visuality in poetry has been the main goal of poets. In experimental poetry, it is seen that the meaning becomes more and more difficult. It is seen that poets try methods that will make the reader think more about the poem instead of conveying a subject directly. Key Words: Experimental Poetry, Poetry in the 2000s, Experimentation in Turkish Poetry, Visual Poetry
