Examination of fethnames in Turkish literature in terms of values educati̇on

In this research, it is aimed to examine the Fethnames in Turkish Literature in terms of Values Education Project which is required to be implemented by the Ministry of National Education in schools. As a result of the examination of the Fethnames written during the Ottoman Empire period, it is seen that the works were explained in detail from the beginning of a military operation to the end. At the same time, it is also seen in the pieces that the state's political and military administrators' feelings, thoughts and intentions in all phases of the expedition. In this respect, the texts about the values used in the values education project, how often they are used, with which values the sultans and statesmen stand out in the military operations, and which values are important in the social life in the periods when the Fethnames were written are examined. As a result of the examinations, it is seen that the values of responsibility, self-confidence, patriotism, compassion (grace), diligence, loyalty, fairness, benevolence, brotherhood, cohabitation and truthfulness were frequently used in Fethnames. In terms of form, The Fethnames were formed in order to take the decision of the expedition, to make preparations, to take the expedition, to seize the land and then to place certain values in certain places. It is seen that the values of patriotism, responsibility, self-esteem and diligence often take place until the end of the conquests, followed by the values of compassion (grace), fairness, hospitality, respect, cleanliness, patience, love, brotherhood and cohabitation with the seizure of the land. As a result, it is stated in the works that the rulers of the Ottoman state did not seize new lands with the intention to colonize, but conquered by some sublime values.
