Abstract (EN)
In this study, the secondary education curriculum of the "Visual Arts" course was examined. The aim of the research is to evaluate the place of the "Visual Arts" course in Turkish Art Education in secondary education curriculum in terms of weekly course schedules. Qualitative research method was used in the scope of the research, and the model of the research is the literature review method. First of all, what Visual Arts is, what common point the explanations about the Visual Arts course meet, are revealed based on the definitions of curricula and syllabuses; After explaining the concept of Visual Arts, the content of the secondary education visual arts course was mentioned and the visual arts course secondary education curriculum, which constitutes the basis of the study, was discussed in depth. The views of the educators on the Visual Arts lesson are given in detail and the issue of whether the Visual Arts lesson, which is one of the great debates on this subject, is included in the lesson programs, is emphasized. Curriculum and curriculum were examined, the objectives of the "Visual Arts" course, which came to the fore in these reviews, learning areas and the skills and achievements related to these areas were examined closely. In this study, which was carried out based on the secondary education content and course hours of the Visual Arts course, the subjects and achievements in the announced programs were identified, grouped and explained. At the end of the study, it was determined that the Visual Arts course in the secondary education curriculum was not included in the sufficient course hours.
