Abstract (EN)
It is well known that from its early years, Turkish management/organization literature has been largely influenced by the United States (US). The field of personnel/human resources management in Turkey, which first appeared as a separate discipline towards the end of the 1960s, has generally viewed the US as virtually its sole source of information. In this study, a comparison of the subjects covered by the Turkish and US human resources management (HRM) literatures between 2004 and 2015 was performed. Based on the frequency of terms identified using the content analysis method, it was determined that Turkish HRM literature continues to see US literature as its "model". It was also observed that the subject most frequently studied in both literatures during the 2004 – 2015 period was "performance". On the other hand, it was determined that a limited number of studies in Turkish literature have recently begun to investigate different subjects, ones that are specific to Turkey and are not found in US literature, such as the subject of "favoritism".
