Distance education practices in turkey and the relationship between teachers' attitudes towards distance education and their digital literacy

The study discussed the dimension of the relationship between distance education attitudes and digital literacy levels of 407 teachers working in public primary and secondary education institutions in Şahinbey and Şehitkamil districts of Gaziantep province. Whether there is a significant difference between teachers' attitudes towards distance education and their digital literacy levels and various variables (gender, district, branch, etc.) were examined by t-test and ANOVA analysis. The size and direction of the relationship between teachers' attitudes towards distance education and their digital literacy levels were determined by Pearson correlation analysis. The teachers' digital literacy level predicting their distance education attitudes was obtained using regression analysis. Based on the findings, a significant difference was found between teachers' attitudes towards distance education and their digital literacy levels and demographic variables. A positive and moderate relationship was found between teachers' attitudes towards distance education and their digital literacy levels. It was observed that the scores of teachers' digital literacy levels significantly predicted their distance education attitudes.
