Abstract (EN)
The phenomenon of migration emerges as a temporary or permanent displacement of people from past to present by leaving the places where they lived as a result of voluntary or compulsory reasons. It is known that migration affects not only individuals but also societies and even many segments, including international dynamics. In this process, individuals and societies are both changing and undergoing a transformation. Experiencing population movements is shaped by many factors such as the disappearance of borders between countries with technological developments, natural disasters, terrorism, civil war, economic and political reasons. The concept of migration, whose results and causes are quite different, has a complex nature. Especially the countries that receive and send immigration are affected, and today, all countries of the world are affected by this mobility in political and economic terms. In this context, the phenomenon of migration now has three dimensions: global, national and local. Due to the fact that population movements have crossed borders, traditional forms of migration management have been abandoned, and governance forms that include communication and mutual interaction have been adopted. Turkey is directly affected by migration movements due to its strategic and geopolitical position. In particular, the fact that the countries around Turkey are less developed has led to Turkey becoming a country of immigration. Political, economic and social life has been shaped by external migration to Turkey. Keywords: Migration, Management, Governance, Migration, Migration in Turkey
