Abstract (EN)
Energy cooperation between Turkey and Iran plays a major role in determining the energy strategies in both the world and the Middle East. It is expected that operation and use of energy resources in the world will continue without decreasing for the next 20-25 years. This shows that the demand for oil and natural gas will follow an increasing trend. It is understood that the owner countries of these resources will have superiority over other countries as well as the importance of countries which have the role in the distribution and shipment of these products in the world will increase. Energy purchase and sale, and in particular oil, which is important in the West for the last 40 years and in Turkey for the last 20 years, plays a major role in reducing costs. Turkey's importance in the distribution and marketing of petroleum in Europe and world markets is increasing day by day. Turkey?s strategic location between Central Asia and Europe and membership of NATO and Custom Union increase its importance in this region.
