A model for the applications health insurance option centracts in Turkey

ABSTRACT In Turkey, the application of private health insurance does not have a long history. However, the insurance companies can offer high quality services without delay through the doctors and the hospitals with high technology. But insurance companies determine the standart prices in coordination the health institutions so according to this price, they get the premiums throughout the year. The insurance companies have some difficulties because of high prices which are not added to premiums the end of the year. It is required that the health insurance companies must not be affected from this increase in our country where health expensives go up more than inflation rate. Even the health expensive increase more than expected, health insurance companies can be protected from inflation by using the option contract. Consequently, participation in the private health insurance companies will be increased and it will be helpfull to strengthen the foundations of private health insurance.
