A study on Turkisms in Ukrainian language

In this thesis, Turkic borrowings in Ukrainian and their etymological examination were made. The study prepared in this direction consists of three main chapters: Introduction, Dictionary and Conclusion. In the Introduction of the thesis is given to historical relations between Ukraina and Turkey. In the Glossary chapter, the Turkisms in the Ukrainian language and their etymologies are written. Our main source is the 6-volume etymological dictionary of Ukraine: Etymologichni Slovnik Ukrainskoyi Movi. From this source, the words quoted from the Turkish written languages into Ukrainian were searched and therefore not only the source language but also the non-Turkish words quoted from these written languages which are the intermediary languages were included in the study.
