In this thesis, the determinants of economic growth were dealed with theoretically. Here, the relationship between transportation investments and economic growth was estimated by using three different regression models. Labor, financial development, trade openness, energy consumption and urbanization as well as transportation investments were used as independent variables and the determinants of economic growth. The ADF, PP and KPSS unit root tests were employed to examine the unit root properties of the variables. In addition, Vogelsang-Perron one break unit root test was used. The ARDL bounds test was applied to investigate the lon run relationship between the variables. The long run and short run estimations of the variables were conducted within the framework of ARDL model. The causality relationships between the variables were examined by using Toda-Yamamoto causality test. The obtained results will provide some policy implications for Turkish economy.
