Extradition of terrorists in National and International Law

Terrorism can be defined as "intimidation, suppression, threatening, frightening and using violence for a specific purpose". Terrorism causes destabilization in states and causes many social problems. Terrorist activities are generally carried out for some political purposes. This necessitates an explanation of the relationship between terrorist activities and political crimes. Political crimes are a concept that is important for the extradition of criminals. Extradition is one of the most important means of international legal cooperation. States cannot fight crime and perpetrators alone, and they ensure that criminals are tried with the help of different states. This led to the emergence of the institution for extradition. In this study, the issue of extradition of terrorist offenses under national and international law has been reviewed, and the position of the offender within the extradition institution has been tried to be objectified.
