International Migration Law and Turkey's migration strategy

The phenomenon of immigration that has taken a journey with the history of mankind has changed, developed and diversified in accordance with the changing needs of people. Migrations have led to many problems and consequences, especially in the historical process. Immigration led to the change of the political map of the world, the collapse of the states, and the establishment of states such as the United States (USA) which still exist today. In the first part of the study, the concept of migration and the types, results and reasons of migration were examined. In the second part of the study, the formation of international law, resources, the effects of the domestic law of the states, the problems experienced in the migration and the results of the international law in the world are examined. It is examined how the problems that arise as a result of migration are tried to be analyzed in the international arena and how the states work individually or collectively. In this respect, international institutions and organizations have been examined. The ongoing debate on the definition and rights of the migrants arriving as a result of the migration movement, which is carried out individually or collectively, is still up-to-date. It has been observed that the rights granted to migrants in relation to human rights in terms of the level of development and the level of development of the states also increase according to the status they receive. In the third part of the study, the rights of immigrants in the international conventions and protocols are examined and what rights they have obtained as a result of their status. Furthermore, prior to the establishment of the republic, and it was looking at the waves of immigration that Turkey's experience until this day. Turkey's policy in the face of these migrations to Anatolia, the strategies followed this policy from legislation and in 2011 it was made as a result of which borders since against waves of immigrants from Syria and policies were investigated.
