Abstract (EN)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the minimum required skill levels in international marketing practices and to measure the effect on companies performance. In order to determine the findings, a survey was conducted with the participation of 350 participant living in Istanbul and working in international commercial enterprises. The questionnaire contains 7 parts; demographic characteristics, planning and operational skills, pricing, product, distribution, promotion skills and firm performance questions. The aim of this questionnaire is to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the international marketing activities of the enterprises. SPSS statistical research program is used to analyze the research data. International strategies, compatibility of existing products with the foreign market, entry options and different promotion options were determined and the findings related to the performance of the companies were explained in the research. With this study, it has been determined that the effect of international marketing practices on required skill levels has a great effect on firm performance.
