Detection and analysis of the hadith "The best of my ummah are my generation..."

"The best of my ummah are those who live in my century…" that hadith that came with the expression, have been one of the issues that are constantly mentioned in the past and today. There are different interpretations and various views on this hadith, which is still argued today. Specially, because off the fact that the Companions and then tabiin and tebe-i tabiin are mentioned as the best successor generation in the hadith, It is considered the most important reason for the positive and negative opinions. In our thesis, we tried to contibute to the mentioned narrations in Kutub-i Tis'a and analyze them in terms of script and text. Thus, we tried to contribute to a more accurate understanding of the hadith we will examine and other narrations conveyed in different versions. When viewed from this aspect, our thesis is consists of an introduction and then two parts. In the introduction part, information about the subject, purpose, importance and with this method, information about the sources we used in the research was given and the concept of ummah was emphasized. In the first part, the narrations that came with the discourse "The best of my ummah..." were detectioned and these narrations were criticized in the proofs. Our thesis ended up with the conclusion and evaluation.
