Abstract (EN)
In this research, it is aimed to examine the relationship between university students' intolerance of uncertainty and perfectionism and their level of self-compassion. Relational scanning model was used to examine the relationships between variables. The sample of the study consisted of 401 undergraduate and graduate students from Gaziantep University Faculty of Education, Architecture and Law. In the research, the Personal Information Form was used to collect information about the demographic characteristics of university students, the Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale, to measure their level of intolerance of uncertainty, the Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale, to measure their level of perfection, and the Self-Compassion Scale to measure their self-compassion levels. In this research, independent samples t test, simple linear correlation and multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. According to the findings obtained from the research, a positive relationship between the level of intolerance to uncertainty and perfectionism of university students, a negative relationship between their level of intolerance to uncertainty and their self-sensitivity, also negative relationship between perfectionism levels and self-sensitivity levels were detected. In the last regression analysis, it was concluded that while the level of intolerance of uncertainty predicted the self-compassion levels of university students, perfectionism levels did not significantly predict.
