Perceptions of university students on the quality levels of the faculty of education (Sakarya University case)

It is the responsibility of the universities to educate talented human resources with sufficient knowledge that the business world needs. However, they are informed by research conducted in different areas. In this context, it is necessary for the students constituting the foundation of the universities which carry out the education and training functions to present the best opportunities for this purpose in order to ensure that the students are academic and socially equipped individuals by providing the best service. In this study, the quality of education qualities of the faculties where the prospective teachers were trained at the university was researched on 360 students studying at different faculties at Sakarya University. Service performance (Service Performance - SERVPERF) and service quality (SERVQUAL - SERVQUAL) were used as the measurement tool. In the analysis part of the data it was seen that all of the data were normally distributed in the specified conditions. Independent groupst test was used in the second research problem and one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used in the other problems of the study. Post-hoc tests were used to find out which groups differed in the variance analyzes. . The reliability coefficient for the whole of the scale is 0.965. Özdamar (1999) stated that the reliability coefficient is between 0,61 and 0,80 at the intermediate level and between 0,80 and 1,00 is highly reliable. As a result of the research; It was found that the place of birth was significant in terms of satisfaction and image with respect to the service quality, satisfaction, image, recommendation and loyalty variables related to the university where the university students were educated and the level of education was significant in terms of physical characteristics and image, The means of the views of the students of theology faculty are higher than the students of the other faculties in the dimensions. The mean of the views of the students in the 2nd education in the dimensions of satisfaction, image and recommendation is higher than the average of the opinions of the students in the 1st education.
