Investi̇gation of physical activity levels of university students to the requirement of excess nutrient consumption

The research was conducted in Düzce University Faculty of Sport Sciences; Sports Management, Coaching Education, Physical Education and Sports Teaching Departments of 280 students and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Sports Sciences Faculty; It consists of 256 students studying in Sports Management, Coaching Education, Physical Education and Sports Teaching Departments. A total of 536 students were reached. In this study, which is aimed to be evaluated in terms of various variables, the screening model was used. In order to determine the excessive nutrient consumption requirements of students, the, excess nutrient request scale mad (ABIS), which consists of 9 factors and 39 items, was translated into Turkish. For the demographic information, "Personal Information Form" was applied. Statistical analysis was performed for the variables of height, weight and BMI, and frequency analysis was used for other variables. It was determined that the data were not distributed normally as a result of the normality test to determine whether the data were normally distributed. Non-parametric tests were used in statistical analysis since they were not distributed normally. Mann-Whitney U test was used for two-variable comparisons and Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for comparisons with more than two variables. Spearman correlation test was used to determine the relationship between excessive nutritional desire and physical activity. Significance level was accepted as p <0.05. As a result, physical activity levels of sports science students were found to be very active. It was found that there was a significant difference between the students' physical activity status and excessive nutritional desire.
