Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to investigate whether university students' career adaptability is predicted significantly by psychological resilience, cognitive flexibility and proactive personality characteristics. The research was carried out with the participation of 413 students studying in various faculties at Çukurova University in the academic year of 2018-2019. In this research, the data were obtained from the Career Adaptability Capabilities Scale-Short Form, Brief Resilience Scale, Cognitive Flexibility Scale, Abbreviated Proactive Personality Scale and Personal Information Form developed by the researcher. Pearson Product Moment Correlation, t-Test for Independent Samples and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were used to analyze the data of the study. As a result of the research, a significant positive relationship was found between the scores of career adaptability total score and sub-dimensions of university students and psychological resilience, cognitive flexibility and proactive personality scores. In the study, it was seen that predictive variables together predicted career adaptability significantly at the level of 33 percent. The relative importance of predictor variables on career adaptability is that proactive personality, psychological resilience and cognitive flexibility. It was found that students' proactive personality scores predicted the dimensions of career adaptability. In addition career concern and control were predicted by psychological resilience. It was seen that cognitive flexibility scores of university students were not have a significant effect on the dimensions of career adaptability.
