Abstract (EN)

The of purpose this study is to examine whether the stress levels of university students have a significiant difference according to their age, gender, class, their enthusiasism to enter the department, reasons for choosing the department they study at, their work experience, their family lives, family monthly income, examining the predictors of resilience and general self-efficacy in career stress, and determining the mediating role of resilience between general self-efficacy levels and career stresses. Descriptive scanning model was used in the research. The study group of the research is consists of 432 university students in the spring term of 2018-2019 academic year, Ağrı İbrahim Çeçen University (AIÇU) Pre-School Teacher Education, Turkish Language and Literature Teacher Education, History, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, Primary Mathematics Teacher Education, Social Studies Teacher Education, Islamic Sciences, Economics, Business Administration the Department of Painting Education. The data of the research are collected with "Career Stress Scale", whose validity and reliability study was conducted and adapted to Turkish by Özden and Sertel Berk (2017), "Resilience Scale" developed by Gürgan (2006) and "General Self-Efficacy Scale" whose validity and reliability was conducted and adapted to Turkish by Yıldırım and İlhan (2010), "Personal Information Form" created by the researcher. The cronboach alpha reliability coefficient of the Career Stress Scale was .94, the cronboach alpha reliability coefficient of the Resilience Scale was .80, and the cronboach alpha reliability coefficient of the General Self-Efficacy Scale was .80. The analysis of the data was done with the SPSS program. In analyzing the data, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, tukey test, ANOVA, variance analysis, correlation analysis and mediation analysis were used. According to the results of the research, a negative relationship was found between the career stress of university students and their general self-efficacy and resilience. Career Stress decreases as the resilience and General Self-Efficacy of university students increase. Career Stress of the university students show a statistically significant difference according to the satisfaction from the department they are studying. The career stresses of university students who are not satisfied with the department they study at are higher than those who are satisfied. Career Stress of university students varies statistically according to whether they intentionally enter the department they are studying. Career stresses of those who enter the department where they study intentionally are lower than those who do not want to enter the department. The section where university students study career stress varies statistically according to their preference. The career stresses of those who prefer according to the scores are higher than those they love. On the other hand, those who prefer the career stresses according to the scores of those who say there are no other options are higher than those who call my profession, advice (family, teacher) and a valid profession. Likewise, career stresses are higher than those who say that they love counseling (family, teacher) and other people (who want to be graduated from the university, because my family wants, to move horizontally, to find a job, to be a university where I live, to improve myself). Career stress of the university students show statistically significant difference according to the monthly income of the family. Career stress of students whose family income is 1000 TL or less is higher than those between 1001-2000 TL, 2001-3000 TL, 3001-4000 TL, 4001-5000 TL, 5001-6000 TL. Career Stress of the university students show a statistically significant difference according to the location of the family. The career stress of those whose families live in the village is higher than those living in the province and metropolitan areas. There is no significant difference between those living in other settlements. The resilience is seen that the partiality between the general self-efficacy and career stress is a mediating variable. There was no statistically significant difference in the career stress levels of university students according to gender, class level, and whether they have work experience.
