Abstract (EN)

It is aimed to examine the effects of high intensity interval trainings that applied in different forms to the handball sportsmen studying at university on aerobic and anaerobic performance. The avarage age 20,27± 1,11 of 30 boy handball players attended to this research as being volunteer. İn this research, the real trial model, one of the trial models including pre test and the last test evaluations. The sportsmen participated it this research are divided randomly into three groups. İntensity interval training group that has high Wingate style (n=10), intensity interval training group that has high Tabata style (n=10), and control group (n=10). The experimental group, participated the research were applied a specific training program for each group as will be three times a week. It was provided that doing the best own movement of sportsmen in Wingate style hıgh intensity interval training (HIIT) group against to the wight resistance %7,5 of own body weight during 30 seconds on wingate cycling ergometre. Resting period was given as will be 4 minutes. These principles were applied as will be 4 sets at first week, 5 sets at second week, 6 sets at third week and 7 sets at fourth week. The sportsmen in Tabata style HIIT group were made to do exercises program appeared by burpess, high kness, plank, mountain climbers in each training program respectively by resting 10 seconds, loading 20 seconds. During 4 weeks continueing three times a week. The trainings were applied as well be 4 sets in first week, 5 sets in second week, 6 sets in third week and 7 sets in fourt week. Before training and after training shuttle running test. Was applied to determine aerobic capacity. Wingate anaerobic power test was applied to determine anaerobic capacity. Descriptive statistic method was used in this research to analyze the avarages, standard deviation of introductory properties given in this research. Kruskal-Wallies H test, one of the non-prametric test method was applied for comparing pre test measurements and the last test measurements among group. Mann-Whitnet U test was applied to determine the source of variable difference on variables, occured at the and of the test. Wicoxon Signed Ranks test was applied to determine whether there is a significant differences in groups or not at the beginning or end of the test. According to the results, found in this research. It was found a significant difference in favour Tabata and Wingate groups, between Control group on aerobic capacity value (MaxVO2). The significant difference was found on anaerobic performance values peak power, avarage power and minimum power. For Tabata and Wingate group but not found for control group. That can be claimed according to the results of the research. Hıgh intensity interval training programs with Tabata and Wingate style can be used to improve the aerobic and anaerobic performance of the handball players studying at university.
