Abstract (EN)

In the experiment, it was aimed to determine the effect of honey bees on the fruit yield and quality of different almond cultivars (Nonpareil, Texas, Drake, Ferragnes and Ferraduel) and to investigate the morphological and plant characteristics of almond cultivars in Uşak ecology. Flowering period of cultivars was14 days in Ferragnes and Ferraduel, 15 days in Drake and 17 days in Nonpareil and Texas. The number of visits (100 flower/10 min.)in which the honey bees performed on the flowers of different almond cultivars were higher than the cultivars of Ferragnes (11.3 bees) and Ferraduel (11.0bees), especially Texas (4.5 bees) and Nonpareil (4.7 bees). The effect of beehive distance on the fruit set and yield were generally significantly. In general, In general, fruit yields at distances of 600 to 800 meters from beehive were found to be the lowest. As a result of pomological analyzes, it has been determined that the effect of the distance from the canopy on the quality of the fruits and fruit quality is insignificant. As a result of pomological analysis, it was determined that the effect of the distance to the beehive on the fruit nut and kernel quality was generally non-significant. According to the results of the study, it is suggested that the Ferragnes cultivar which flowered after 10 days from other almond varieties in order to protect from the late spring frosts frequently encountered in the Uşak province, especially because of the fruit yield and kernel ratio compared to Ferraduel cultivar.
