A folkloric research on traditional works in Uşak

Traditional professions can be defined as professions that have existed since ancient times, where individual creativity is in the foreground, there are certain rituals and traditions within itself, whose transfer is generally provided by master-apprentice relationship and accepted by society. These professions are one of the important elements for the survival of the cultural identity of the societies. In the study titled Halk A Folk Scientific Study on Traditional Occupations in Uşak ", traditional occupations in Uşak were determined. As a result of the interviews with the masters of the tradition, inferences were made on the issues that should be done in order to maintain these professions. Our study consists of three parts. In the introduction part, the definition, aim and importance of the study is mentioned, the scope and limitations are determined and information is given about Uşak province where the study will be conducted. In the first part, the academic resources that we used to create our study were briefly introduced. In the second part of the study, the methods and materials we will use during our research are mentioned. In the third and last part, information about traditional occupations is mentioned while mentioning tradition and globalization. Our study is based on the principle that traditional elements should be preserved by keeping, not by hiding.
