Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effects of teaching with dynamic geometry software GeoGebra on 11th grade students' achievement in "Exponential and Logarithmic Functions". In this study, quasi-experimental design was used (pre-post test control group). The study was carried out in the fall term of 2014-2015 academic years with 35 eleventh grade students (18 for experimental group, 17 for control group) in Istanbul city. The experimental group was instructed by means of the computer assisted teaching materials using the "GeoGebra" software, while the control group was instructed by traditional methods. It was also collected experimental groups students' views related to instruction. Achievement tests were administered to both groups as pretest and posttest. Quantitative data were analyzed with SPSS-17.0 packet program using t-test and ANCOVA. Qualitative data were analyzed with descriptive analysis methods. In this study, it was found that computer-based instruction with GeoGebra had more significant effect on students' achievement than traditional instruction.
