Abstract (EN)
This study deals with the elements of religion and morality in utopias and dystopias. The works of State, Utopia, Medinetü'l Fazıla, Land of the Sun in the utopia genre, 1984 and Brave New World in the dystopia genre were examined. The first part of this study, which consists of three parts, is the conceptual framework. In this section, primarily the concepts of utopia and dystopia are emphasized. In the second and third sections, the works in question were examined within the determined framework. As a result, it has been determined that the elements of religion and morality are included in these works at different levels and in various forms. In utopias and dystopias, different meanings are attributed to religion and morality; While religion and morality appear as a unifying element in utopias, religion and morality have moved away from their traditional meanings in dystopias.
