MED-ARB as a dispute resolution method

The increase and complexity of human relations has led to the increase and complexity of conflicts arising from these relations. The methods used for the resolution of disputes have developed in parallel with this. In this sense, the use of the Med-Arb (Mediation-Arbitration) method, which is obtained by combining the mediation and arbitration methods used for dispute resolution, has become widespread. In this method, mediation is primarily applied for dispute resolution, and if no results are obtained from this method, arbitration proceedings are initiated. Within the scope of this study, the concept of dispute resolution is discussed first, and after some dispute resolution methods are examined, the Med-Arb method is mentioned. In this context, the features, benefits and drawbacks of the Med-Arb method and different forms of appearance are discussed. Finally, various results regarding the choice of the method and the skipping of the mediation phase are discussed.
