Abstract (EN)
Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) was found in 150 out of 220 urine samples when diagnosed by the Vitek 2 Compact system. The urinary infection rate was higher in females (56.7%) than males (43.3%). While there was a positive correlation between age and HbA1C, there was a negative correlation between HbA1C and urea. A negative correlation was found between creatinine and UTI period, resulting in significant differences (P<0.05). Through Vitek 2 compact used to know its antibiotic resistance, K. pneumoniae appeared a high resistance to Cefazolin (88%), Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid (86%), Cefuroxime (80%), Cefuroxime Axetil (70%), Ceftazidime (68%) and Piperacillin / Tazobactam (62%). The virulence genes detected by PCR were the clbA gene in 24 (16%) isolates and rmpA in 54 (36%) isolates. The sequencing results were observed for the rmpA gene in one isolate that had a compatibility of 99% with the reference strain Acc.No: CP035540.1 and regarded as one type of substitution (transversion). Other isolates had a compatibility of 100% with reference strain Acc.No: LR890726.1, and the sequencing results of the clbA gene in isolates had a compatibility of 100% with the reference strain Acc.No: LT603726.1.
