Abstract (EN)
The banking sector, which is one of the sectors where the effects of globalization are felt intensely, has an important place in our country as well as in the whole world, due to the support it has given to economic development and the high employment potential it has. In today's business world, organizational commitment and self-development of human resources, which is one of the most important resources, is very important for organizations to be successful and maintain their competitive advantage. In order to achieve this, organizations need leaders with vision, knowledge and empathy, as well as employees who can establish a healthy work-life balance. In this study, the effect of visionary leadership, one of the modern leadership types, on organizational commitment was examined, and the mediating role of work-life balance in this relationship was investigated. In order to test the effect of visionary leadership on organizational commitment and the mediating role of work-life balance in this relationship, an application was made in the banking sector and data were obtained from 450 bank employees through questionnaires. According to the findings obtained as a result of the analysis of the data; It has been concluded that visionary leadership has a positive effect on organizational commitment and that work-life balance has a partial mediation effect on the effect of visionary leadership on organizational commitment.
