Abstract (EN)
This is a quasi-experimental study that has been laid out to analyze the effect of training method resting upon web based video modelling training on ability exercitations of women's health and gynaecological diseases nursing, the satisfaction level of students, and the anxiety level of students before and after ability exercitations. The research sample is composed by totally 80 students enrolling to participate into the study designated through simple random sampling technique that were schoolar at the Faculty of Nursing in Ege University during the academic year of 2016-2017, and were taking course of "Patient and Hospital Atmosphere" module included in the course of Healthy Living and Nursing II. Power analysis has been conducted so as to determine the sample size to be implicated in the research. d=0.3 (middle effect size) ɑ=0.05 has been taken as 1-β=0.80 in order to exhibit the difference between two groups. In sample computing, it has been dijudicated that 32 students will be sufficient, and that 40 each student will be taken for interference and control groups by taking presumptive loss into consideration. The study has been premeditated through two groups including training group (interference) resting upon web based video modelling method and demostration group (control). The students have been divided into the groups by matching them according to gender, age and success level. The email addresses of students in both groups have been taken, and the lecture notes concerning to the subject and the clinical skills evaluation guideline of pregnant and puerperant have been sent to them as an email, and they have been requested that they should attend in the demonstration by studying on it. Password and user name has been given to each student in the interference group so that they could see the videos on the website prepared. Thus, it has been provided that the students see the training videos on the website oriented clinical skills for pregnant and puerperant examination out of classroom and by using his/her computer and internet connection. The students in the control group have been trained by utilizing demonstration method by the researcher in the skill laboratory. The psychomotor skill level and clinical skills for pregnant and puerperant examination of the students have been determined with the scores they got from the scoring conducted in accordance with the evaluation guidelines. A statistically significant difference has been determined between the groups with regards to the other application skill scoring apart from the application skill scoring of edema examinaton and the application skill scoring of breastfeeding technique training of the students partaking in interference and control groups (p<0.05). It has been found out that the apllication skill scoring of the students in the interference group who were trained through training method resting upon web based video modelling method is significantly high. A statistically significant difference hasn't been determined between the groups with regards to the point average of satisfaction survey with the training methods of the students in the interference and control groups (p>0.05). It hasn't been ascertained that there is a statiscally significant difference between the groups in the sense of the state-trait anxiety scoring before and after skill of the students in the interference and control groups (p>0.05). With regards to the point average of state-trait anxiety inventory before and after application of the students in the interference group, a statistically signifcant difference has been ascertained (p<0.05). It has been determined that there is a statistically significant difference with regards to the point average of state-trait anxiety inventory before and after application of the students in the control group (p<0.05). As a result, training method resting upon web based video modelling method affects the learning and exercitation of clinical skills for pregnant and puerperant examination of the nursing students in a positive way. Key words; Web based training; video modelling method; pregnant examination; postpartum examination; anxiety
