Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this research is to find out whether there is a meaningful difference between job satisfaction and job separation intentions between the X and Y generations. Comparisons of the X and Y barriers were made on white collar actively working in the province of Istanbul. Thus, it is aimed to obtain a more precise result thanks to the employees working in different sectors and places of work. In the first part of this study, in order to understand the relationship between them; literature review was conducted on the intention for separation of generations, job satisfaction, organizational commitment and work. The questionnaire consists of four sections: socio demographic, organizational commitment, job satisfaction and intention for leaving work. Analysis of the data was done with SPSS 24.0 package program after the given collection. Descriptive statistical methods were used when the data were evaluated. Independent t test for parametric tests was used for two group comparisons, ANOVA test for normal distribution variables in the comparison of two groups, and Kruskal-Wallis test for nonparametric tests were applied for variables that did not show normal distribution. As a result of the tests performed, it was determined that Emotional and Continuity dependency except for Normative Commitment did not show any significant difference from Organizational Commitment subscales when the reasons for job satisfaction and job separation were different according to X and Y circles.
